Here at the Senior Santa Christmas Hamper Drive Program Christmas is never over it is always just beginning and our efforts have always just begun. This site will remain all year as our job of supporting our seniors is 365 days long. Please utilize it to throw your ideas out there and stay in touch, get involved and watch for postings on updates to the program as well as meetings and gatherings as we get ready to kick off the year's drive. As soon as the holiday season ends, we are gearing up already for the next year poor Santa never seems to get a vacation but he never complains.

The over mission of the Senior Santa Christmas Hamper Drive is to make sure no senior in our local long care term facilities/homes/centers/senior services etc are NOT forgotten during the holidays. We want them to believe, we want them to be remembered, cared for and thought of and to let them know they have been good girls and boys but mostly "YES" there is a Santa Claus. Our program tries to make sure each and every one of our seniors has a very special Merry Christmas. 

Our program continues to grow each year and we seem to receive more and more request from centers/homes/facilities/senior services etc to get on-board. No one is refused. In our first year of operation we had 2 local facilities and in the 2012 season we have grown leaps and bounds to 5 centers/homes/facilities/senior services etc with approximately 400 seniors throughout just in 2012. 

There is no charge to any centers involved we provide the bags, the tags, bows and all the things to fill the hampers, we deliver them to the centers and the staff goes through the items and personalizes them to the 

seniors needs as they know them better than we do. The program is run by myself, my family and a few volunteers and completely on donations and runs 365 days a year in order to provide the seniors with the little extra in life they deserve, 

we are a small community and the support is amazing but I need to spread the word and get us out there and I believe..... keep this program going our seniors are worth it!!!!

The goal for our program is simple: To collect enough new unused items targeted especially for 

seniors and put together special hampers to be donated to this year (2012) 5 centers/homes/facilities/senior services/ shut-ins and again our program this year has over 400 seniors in need of assistance just in Orangeville and Shelburne area.

This program and website is and was founded  not only to bring awareness to a silent cause but for seniors to show them Santa has not forgotten them and yes "BELEIVE" there is a Santa you just got to believe!. Help us and our program show them he does care, he does love them and that they are good boys and girls this year. Please help us collect Gift items such as the items listed below for the seniors or make a cash donation and we will do the shopping for you and make sure they get into the gift hampers. Any assistance that you or your business could provide to the seniors, whether it is in the form of gift cards or items from wish list is greatly and truly appreciated.
