Welcome to the 33rd Edition of our Newsletter
“Power of the Crowd”

Cherophobia is the word for the irrational fear of being happy.
       
 
The Dufferin Board of Trade is a non-partisan and non-profit organization who works to build up our community by helping the local businesses within it thrive.
With the support of the Dufferin Federation of Agriculture, we are carrying on our proud tradition of hosting election forums with candidates in our riding to ensure that the issues impacting local businesses are front and centre during the election, and to provide the public with the opportunity to engage with and learn more about the candidates seeking their votes.

Tuesday, October 1st, 2019 | Orangeville District Secondary School | 6:30pm – 9pm
Meet and greet 6:30-7pm; moderated, televised forum 7pm – 9pm
Thanks to Rogers, the forum will be broadcasted and live streamed online.
We will send out the link details on the night of the forum.
All questions for the forum will be received from the community by Sept 26th;
questions will not be disclosed to any candidate prior to the event.
No Questions from the floor will be accepted.
Questions submitted but not asked due to time constraints will be sent to the candidates following the forum.

2019 Sweet Pea’s Pumpkinfest Dates:
We are now open 7 days a week starting Sept. 21 through OCT 31, from 10 am to 5 pm.

Extended hours for busy families – Thursdays and Fridays starting Oct 17, 18 and 24 and 25 open till 8 p.m.

ADMISSION:
All Pumpkinfest ACTIVITIES included in your admission, including PUMPKIN of your choice ANY SIZE!!!

General Admission:
$10.00 ($8.85 + 1.15 HST) / Person

2 years and under FREE!

There is no charge to enter if you are buying pumpkins only.
The admission charge only applies for visitors participating in Sweet Peas Pumpkinfest activities.

Bring the Family Downtown for some Harvest Celebration Fun!
Downtown Orangeville is celebrating autumn in the heart of Headwaters with a special family fun day on Saturday, October 19th.  
Our annual Harvest Celebration marks the closing of Orangeville’s outdoor Farmers’ Market and brings trick or treating to Downtown Orangeville.

 Super heroes, princesses, ghosts, zombies and other spooky characters are all invited to take part.
Trick or Treating for children 10 and under begins at 10 am and will run rain or shine until 12 pm or until the candy runs out.  
Free face painting and petting zoo; pony rides; contests & more!
